The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Services of UPHDMC is an advanced and well-equipped facility that plays a vital role in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of illness. The department has a licensed Blood Bank Center, an HIV-proficient laboratory, and top-of-the-line equipment run by a highly efficient and licensed staff of medical technologists, drug test analysts, and specially trained laboratory personnel. As an active member of the National External Quality Assurance in Hematology, Clinical Chemistry and Infectious Diseases, the UPHDMC Laboratory complies with every QA and QC regulation to assure high quality results.
